Biography

Kovalchuk Lyudmila (14.09.1955, Angarsk, Russia), Belarusian artist of decorative and applied arts. She graduated from Abramtsev Industrial Art College named after V. Vasnetsov (1976). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1997). Lives in Vitebsk.

Lyudmila Nikolaevna works in the field of decorative and industrial ceramics, with porcelain, majolica, chamotte; uses painting on wet enamel, glaze. A number of works were carried out in collaboration with V. Kovalchuk. A participant of art exhibitions since 1977. Her works were exhibited at the regional, national, international, foreign and personal exhibitions (the Baltic States, Bulgaria, Poland, Germany). The samples and forms of the artist's paintings are replicated in the factories of Russia and Belarus. On the basis of the traditional one she developed her own unique style of the painting on wet enamel.
