Biography

 

Chukin Valery (28.07.1949, v-ge Sitnyaki, Makarov district, Kiev region, Ukraine – January 7, 2016, Vitebsk), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1973). A member of the creative association «Square» (1987). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1991). He lived in Vitebsk.

The artist worked in easel painting and graphic art in traditional and mixed techniques.

Among the works are: «Belarusian Village» (1984), «The Annunciation» (1990), «Conversation with the Son» (1992), «Prayer» (1993), «Vitebsk of the 20s» (1994), «Morning in the Studio» (1997), «Farewell to the «Square», (1999), «At the Boat» (2000), «Sunny Angel» (2001), «Provincial Vitebsk» (2002), «Autumn» (2003), «Non-alcoholic Wedding» (2008), «Flowers for the Beloved» (2009), a triptych «Blue Lakes of Vitebsk Region» (1987), the series «The Ancient Vitebsk Land» (1987), «Twosome» (1988), «Parallel Worlds» (1994) and others.
