Biography

 

Pototsky Yuri (17.10.1983, Vitebsk), a Belarusian artist. He graduated from Vitebsk Vocational and Technical College with a degree in a master of ceramics and an artist of arts and crafts (2004), Art and Graphic Faculty of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov with a degree in Fine Art (2009). Since 2010, he works as a ceramics master in the «Cultural and Historical Complex "Golden Ring of Vitebsk «Dvina». Yuri Pototsky is a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists (2014).

The artist is engaged in graphics. He works in the technique of ink, pen, monotype, as well as painting and ceramics. His works are interesting not only due to the appeal to the historical past of Belarus and Vitebsk, but also beacause of the stylistic decision and plasticity of the artistic language. Among the works are: «The Prince's Castle in Trakay», «The Thoughts of Lithuania», «The Indestructible», «Synkovichy Temple», «Mystery» (2009), «Fearlessness», «Warrior», «The Horseman of the Grand Duchy», «Meeting», «King Mindaugas», «The Guise of the Holy Spirit Church», «Founder», «Forerunner», «Echo of Grunwald», «Echoes of the Old Walls» (2010), «The Annunciation Church», «Vitebsk Roadway of the XVII Century», «Voices» , «Kamenets Tower», «Enlightener», «Dreams» (2011).
