Biography

Makletsova (Yakovleva) Tatyana (20.02.1966, Kremenchug, Poltavsky Region, Ukraine), Belarusian artist. Graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Art College in 1985, in 1994 – from Vitebsk State University of Technology. In 1997–2016 years, was a representative of Belarusian Union of Designers. Since 2016 she is a member of Belarusian Union of |Artists. The Head of Vitebsk Regional organization «Belarusian Union of Artists» since 2019–2022. Lives in Vitebsk.

She worked as a graphic designer in advertisement and art workshop of Kremenchug City Executive Committee (1985–1987), as seal artist on the Soviet-Italian Knitwear Association in Kremenchug (1987–1989). Since 1994 – lecturer of the Design Department, assistant professor of Design and Fashion at Vitebsk State University of Technology.

Makletsova Tatyana gives preference to such techniques as collage, art-object, textile art. Creates tapestries, made in free author's style. Much attention is paid to color: wide palette, thin monochrome works with tonal transitions reach the heights of true professionalism.

Since 1993 Makletsova Tatyana leads an active creative activity, takes part in republican and international exhibition projects: «Abstract», «Gleina», «Panton», «Postulate», etc. In 2012 was a participant of the First Minsk Triennial of contemporary art. In 2016 received a diploma of the 1st degree from the Office Coordinator of the United Nations system for textile project «Vegetation» as part of the Third Belarussian Triennial of decorative arts. In 2019 Grand Prix of IV Belarussian Triennial of decorative arts was awarded to Svetlana Barankovskaya and Tatyana Makletsova for installation «White Noise». In 2021 – the 3rd place in the first Triennial of conceptual art «Concept-21». In 2022 – the 1st place in the IV Triennial of Textile Art and Modern Tapestry in the nomination «The best art object in the interior» (Moscow city, Museum Reserve «Tsaritsyno»).

The main exhibition projects of recent years are: the Republican exhibition «Signs and Ciphers», an exhibition entitled «Vitsebsk 100+» of Vitebsk Regional organization «Belarussian Union of Artists» in Minsk Art Palace, travelling Republican exhibition of public organization Vitebsk Regional Organization Belarusian Union of Artists «Format», art project of the Design Department and Fashion of Vitebsk State University of Technology «Textile kaleidoscope». Regularly organizes conferences, round tables, public discusion. Among the works are: «Geometric composition», «Tree», «Sign», «Сonfrontation», «The Way», « Tatyana's Day», «The Beatles».

Works are in museums and private collections in Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Germany.
