Biography
Rudenko Yuri (03.10.1953, Vitebsk). He graduated from Vitebsk ped. Institute (1979). Since 1980 he taught at Art school in Vitebsk. Since 1983 he has been working at Vitebsk plant «Mastatstva». A participant of art exhibitions since 1976. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1990). He lives in Vitebsk.
The artist works in the jewelry plastic art, use widely a variety of traditional and non-traditional materials. He is the author of the prizes for Chagall open-air, festivals «White fashion», «Slavyanski Bazaar in Vitebsk» (all 1992 - 2000): «Official Award» (1999); statuette «Gorgon's Medusa» (2003), and others. Among the teamworks with T.Rudenko are: the tapestries «Earth» (1987), «Crack» (1990), «Chagall's Town» (1992), «Lake Land» (1993), «Zodiac Signs» (2001), concert curtains for theatre stage «Evening Performance» (1983), «The Solemn One» (1986), «Fern Flower» (1987), «The Golden One» (1989); batiks «First Flowers» (1981), «Lilac» (1990), «Planet» (1991), «Sunrise» (1992), «Wildflowers» (1994 ); the works in mixed and the author's technique «The Beginning» (1988), «Cloud» (1989), «Dried Flowers», «Code of Life» (1995), a triptych «Jerusalem» (2007) and others.
The works are kept in National Art Museum of Belarus, Vitebsk Art Museum, the funds of Belarusian Union of Artists, Diocesan Museum in Katowice (Poland).
