Biography

Krasovsky Evgeny (07.05.1937, Yartsevo, Smolensk region., Russia - 30.11.2004, Vitebsk), Belarusian painter. He graduated from Riga Art College named after Y. Rosenthal (1958), Belarusian State Theatre and Art Institute (1964). He taught painting and composition at Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute. (1964-73). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1967). Lived in Vitebsk.

The artist worked in various genres of easel painting. The works are characterized by lyrical loftiness, expressive painting plastics.

Among the works are: composition «Consolidation of Belarusian Partisans with the Red Army» (1981); portrait «Naddvinsky Dudar Veriga Artem» (1979), the portraits of the composers Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky (1983); landscapes «Autumn in Vitebsk» (1969), «Luchesa» (1981), «Vitebsk» (1981), «Braslav Lakes» (1990), «Braslav Motif» (1990), «Trinity Cathedral» (1999); still lives «Still Life with Mushrooms» (1990), «Lonely Rose» (2001), «Flowers» (2002) and others.
