Alexander Solovyov has been and remains an active participant of town, regional, national and international exhibitions. His work has been exhibited in Russia, the Baltic States, Germany, France and Australia. In 2010, the artist donated to Vitebsk Art Museum 35 of his works, including abstract compositions and design sketches of scenery for performances of the National Academic Drama Theater named after Yakub Kolas. In particular, the museum funds include the sketches for pthe performances «On the Road of Life» and «Symon the Musician» by Yakub Kolas, «Duel» and «The Colosseum» by Matukovsky, «Fast Trains» by Popova, «Love and Intrigue» by Schiller, «14 Red Huts» by Platonov, «The History of Sin» by Żeromsky, «Philistines» by Gorky, «Bug» by Mayakovsky. Created for a variety of theaters (including the National Academic Drama Theatre named after Yakub Kolas), they allow you to get acquainted with the events of the postwar years through the author's prism, to trace the theater trends of that time. In addition, the artist has presented to the town the paintings «The Crucifixion», «Eve», «Requiem», «Old Fresco» and others. The creative work by Alexander Solovyev has become an integral part of not only Vitebsk culture, where the artist has had a significant influence on the artistic environment of the town, but also the whole Belarus of the second half of the twentieth century. The work in his studio still continues. For example, the paintings «My Forest», «Let There Be Light», «Requiem. In Memory of the Fallen», «Composition» were created by the artist in 2011.
