Biography
Vrublevskaya Svetlana (07.05.1959, Berdichev Zhytomyr region., Ukraine), Belarusian artist. Svetlana Pavlovna graduated from Vizhnitsky College of Applied Arts (1978), Vitebsk Technological Institute (1983). Since then she has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Design (VSTU), an associate professor. She is the author of several drawings of furniture fabrics and piece goods for Belarusian enterprises of light industry: «Orsha Lnokombinat» «Vitteks», «Khimvolokno». Svetlana Pavlovna is a member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1996). Lives in Vitebsk.
Svetlana Pavlovna works in the field of hand weaving and watercolors. In weaving she actively appeal to the traditions of folk culture, particularly patterned weaving. Watercolor works are characterized by free, expressive drawing style, restrained colors, expressive dynamics of compositions.
Among her works are: «Winter» (2002), «Flowers in the Sun» (2007), «Irises» (2007), «Lilac and Tulips» (2007), «Gravity 2» (2009), a series «Winter Aquarium» (2009), etc.
