Biography

 

Lisitsa Ivan (22.01.1950, v-ge. Blistava, Chernigov region, Ukraine – 02.06.2022, Vitebsk), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Minsk Art College named after A. K. Glebov (1969), Belarusian State Theatre and Art Institute (1979). Ivan Ignatovich had been working as a teacher at Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1979–1982), Vitebsk Technological Institute of Light Industry (1982–1997). Since 1997 he taught at Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1989).

The artist worked in graphics and painting, mainly in the genres of landscape, portrait and thematic composition.

Among the works are: lithography to the work by V. Karatkevich «Calasy Pad Syarpom Tvaim» (1999), a series of graphic works to the works by V. Karatkevich (1980-1989), portraits «My Contemporaries» (1980-1989). The author of pictorial compositions «Over the Dvina» (1986), «The Ancient Vitebsk Land» (1987), «Autumn» (1999), «Krasnoluky Village» (2000), «Lepel» (2001), «Farewell to Summer» (2008), «High Sky» (2010), «Evening» (2010), «Road» (2010), «Ushacha» (2010).
