Biography

 

Tolkach Anatoly (16.06.1929, v-ge Zaseleche, Osipovichi district, Mogilev region - 16.03.2004, Vitebsk), Belarusian painter. He graduated from Kostroma Art College (1956). Since 1956 the artist worked at Vitebsk plant «Mastatstva». Since 1957 he participated in art exhibitions. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1964). He lived in Vitebsk.

He worked in easel painting and drawing, mainly in the genre of the urban landscape, as well as in watercolors and gouache and monumental art.

Among the works are: «Dvina» (1957), «Vitebsk Shipyard» (1960), «Belarusian Landscape» (1961), «The Town Leads a Life» (1962), «Vitebsk» (1968), «Liozno Height» (1973), «Luchesa» (1976), «Blue Land» (1979), «Losvido» (1985), «The Year of 1941» (1985), «The Panorama of Vitebsk» (1993), a triptych «Vitebsk» (1978) and others.

His works are kept in National Museum of Belarus, the funds of Belarusian Union of Artists, Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local History.
