Biography

Nekrasov Albert (20.04.1937, v-ge Krasavina, Verhovazhsky district, Vologodsk region, Russia – 22.09.1992, Vitebsk), Belarusian painter. He graduated from Yaroslavsk Art College in 1959 and Leningrad Higher College of Art and Industry named after V.Muhina (Monumental Subdepartment) in 1965. He taught at Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S.M.Kirov in 1965-1977, at Light Industry Products Styling Subdepartment of Vitebsk Institute of Technology in 1977-1992. He is a member of Belarusian Union of Artists (since 1972).

The artist worked in easel and monumental painting, monumental and decorative art. Romantic quality, laconism, decorative generality of forms and restrained pictorial range of colours are typical of his works.

Among his works are: «Nina» (1969), «In Autumn Park» (1971), «Mother's Portrait» (1976), «Paternal Land» (1981), landscapes «Evening by the River» (1979), «Light day» (1981), «Autumn» (1982), «Winter Has Come» (1983), «First Snow» (1983) and others.

He is an author of monumental wall paintings «Phases of a Long Way» (1967, building of vocational school №19 in Vitebsk), «Human and Nature» (1980, engineering building of the factory «Znamia Industrializatsii» in Vitebsk), mosaics «Childhood» (1973, secondary school №4 in Novopolotsk), «Flora and Fauna» (1974, sanatorium Liotsy, Vitebsk district), stained-glass windows «Victory» (1979, secondary school №25 in Vitebsk), «Music» (1980, Music School for Children in Orsha), tapestry «Youth» (1982, holiday camp «Vitebskaya») and others.
