Biography

Raltsevich Vicenty (20.01.1936, v-ge Garbovichi, Chaussy district, Mogilev region — 01.10.2020, Vitebsk), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Minsk Art College named after A. Glebov (1957), Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (1963). He taught at the Department of Fine Arts of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Kirov (1963-70). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1965). He lived in Vitebsk.

He worked in watercolor, easel graphics, esoteric art.

His major works are: a composition «Old Vitebsk» (1970), «Luchesa» (1982), «Vitebsk» (1988), «Morning in Ushachi» (1999), «Storm» (1999), «River» (2000), «Indian Summer» (2002), «Autumn» (2003), «Cold Night» (2006), a triptych «Conquerors» (1967-68), a series «Kamchatka» (1967-70), «Trees» (1973-74) «Central Asia» (1979), «Landscapes of Vitebsk» (2001), esoteric series «Faces», «Vitebsk» (1997-2000), the portraits «The Best Men of Vitebsk» (1970), «The Portraits of Contemporaries» (1970-1980th), a series of illustrations to the works of K. Krapiva (1963) and others.
