Biography

Tkachev Nikolay (19.08.1941, v-ge Udoga, Cherikov district, Mogilev region – 01.10.2011, Vitebsk), Belarusian painter. He graduated from Odessa State Art School named after M. Grekov (1968). Since 1969 he participated in art exhibitions. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1993). Since 1968 he lived in Vitebsk.

He worked in various genres of easel painting.

Among the works are: «To the Light» (1969), «Mother» (1970), «Spring Plowed Field» (1973), «Morning. Old Vitebsk» (1975), «Rye is in the Ears» (1976), «Buckwheat is in Bloom» (1978), «Spring Flowers» (1979), «The Hostages. In memory of M. Shmyrev's Family» (1985), «Blue Dreams» (1989), «Rye is in Bloom» (1990), «From Childhood» (1992), «Flax Has Broken into Bloom» (1992), «Dawn Above the Lake» (1992), «In Lepel District» (1995), «The Star of Bethlehem» (1996), «Heavenly Bells» (2000), «Contemplation of Light» (2001), «Hello, Sun» (2007 ), «Intercession. Autumn Still Life» (2007) and others.

The works are kept in Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local History, in public and private collections of the country.
