Biography

Faley Antonina (17.04.1959, Baranovichi, Brest region), Belarusian artist. She graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1982). Since 1987 she has been working as a senior lecturer, an associate professor (1998) at the Department of Design of Vitebsk State Technological University. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1998).

The artist works in the field of textiles, graphic arts and watercolors, object.

Among the works are: the watercolors «Facing the Choice» (2002), «Target» (2004), «Waiting for the Warmth № 2» (2006); the series «At the Beginning» (2004), «Earth Gravity» (2006), «Nugget» (2009), «On the Other Side of the Equator» (2009); the graphic works «Signs of Fire» (2006), «The Space of Sunlight» (2006), a series «Qatro» (2001); the collages «Two Thousand Years Have Passed» (2000), «Levels of Nature» (2002), «Out of the Ashes of My Memory» (2006), a series «Origin» (2004); the objects «Islands above the Abyss» (2008), «The Confessions of a Picture» (2009), «The Book of Changes 1-2» (2009), «To Take Steps on Ice» (2009), «Dialogue» (installation, 2010) and others.

Her works are kept in the museums: gallery «Lust auf Kunst» Lokkum, Germany, Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk, Vitebsk Center of Contemporary Art, Marc Chagall Museum in Vitebsk, Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum Art Gallery.
