Exhibitions
Since 1962 Gennady Shutov has been taking part in regional, national, international and national exhibitions. Hise works were exhibited in Poland, Yugoslavia, Sweden, Cuba, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Mexico, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland. In 1976–1986 he worked as a Chairman of Vitebsk branch of the Union of Artists of the BSSR. In 1986 he was awarded the order of the Badge of Honor. In 1996 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus. G.Shutov is a winner of the Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus for his significant contribution to the development of contemporary visual art (2011). His creativity is well-known to professionals as well as to all lovers of watercolors. Multi-layer painting technique in his still lifes has become one of the trademarks of the Vitebsk School of watercolors. The works by Gennady Shutov are at art museums of Minsk, Kiev, Ashgabat, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Moscow, the United States.
