Biography

Schastny Valery (23.05.1951, Verhnedvinsk, Vitebsk region), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1973). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1993). He lives in Verhnedvinsk.

He works in easel painting, drawing, watercolors.

Among the works are: «Autumn Still Life» (1976), «The Storm in Early May» (1978), «June» (1980), «Winter Still Life» (1983), «Drissa River» (1984), «The Harvest of the Forty-First» (1985), «Legend» (1986), «Kupalye» (1987), «Vitebsk of the 20s» (1991), «A Six-Winged Seraphim Around the Dvina» (2001), «Unia» (2003), «One Out of Every Third» (2004), «The Palace over the Lake. Osveja» (2007), «The Ark of the XXI» (2008), «One Out of Every Fourth» (2008), «A Small-Town Attitudes» (2008), «The Riverheads of the Drissa. The Mountain of Rogvolod and Rogneda» (2009), «Inevitability» (2010), a triptych «Eternal Earth» (1986) and others.
