Biography
Yavich Piotr (5.09.1918, Tereksentmiklosh, (Hungary) — 14.10.2008, Vitebsk), Belarussian painter. He worked in Yu. Pen's studio. He was the veteran of World War II. He was decorated with the Order of the Patriotic War of II degree, medals. He graduated from Vitebsk Art College (1938). He studied under the guidance of J. Akhremchik, F. Vogt. Since 1940 he took part in art exhibitions. He worked in various genres of easel painting, in the genre of portraiture mainly. Since 1949 he was a member of Union of Artists. His Works are characterized by deep psychologism and emotionality of images, the accuracy in the transfer of color, the expressiveness of shapes.
