Exhibitions
Nikolai Gugnin has been working much in covering the artistic life of Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Union of Artists for many years. He is the author of many catalogues of group and personal art exhibitions. His reviews of some exhibitions are published in the magazine «Mastatstva Belarusi» and in some regional periodicals. Nikolai Gugnin focuses on research work. In 1982 he defended his thesis on art. He is the author of some book chapters on book illustration in the 5th and 6th volumes of the academic edition of the «History of the Belarusian Art», articles on contemporary art in Belarusian scientific and popular publications. Nikolai Gugnin is an associate editor of the scientific magazine «Art and Culture», one of the project owners of the regional integrated program of aesthetic education in the Vitebsk region.
He takes an active part in the artistic life of the region; he is chairman of the commission on a monumental and monumental and decorative art of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. A member of regional, national and international art exhibitions.
