Biography
Slepov Aleksandr (04.08.1950, s. Bada, Chita region, Russia – 24.11.2024, Vitebsk), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1974). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1985). He lives in Vitebsk.
The artist works in the field of sculpture, monumental and decorative art, drawing, painting.
Among the works are: the pastels «Miory Muse» (2000), «The Eternal Idol» (2006), «Manuscripts Do Not Burn» (2008), a triptych «Minotaurs- mutants» (2004), the series «Sport» (2000), «The Search of Interlinks...» (2006), «Solid theater. The Master and Margarita» (2007); plastic art sculpture «Bather» (1976), «Twosome» (1983), «Waiting» (2001), «Angels» (2002), «The Girl in the Hat» (2007), «Reflections» (2008) and others. The author of the monumental and decorative pictures «World Learning» (1976, school № 35, Vitebsk), «Welcome» (1977, school № 35, Vitebsk), «Singing Grove» (1979, music school №2, Vitebsk), «Evening» (1979, music school №2, Vitebsk), «Flax and Bread of Belarus» (1982, the House of Culture, v-ge Babinichi, Orsha district), «Fish. Birds. Flowers» (1984, Vitebsk).
