Biography
Lysenko Larisa (17.06.1958, Tseligograd (now Astana, Kazakhstan). She graduated from Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Kirov (1980). She worked as a graphic designer, worked at the art room of the House of Culture in Polotsk ( 1980-1985). She was a senior employee at Art Gallery of Polotsk Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve (1985-1994); the head of the private gallery «Rysa» (1994-1997); the leading research assistant of Art Gallery of National Museum-Reserve (1998-2003). Since 2004 – the head of the branch «Art Gallery» of Polotsk National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1999). She lives in Polotsk.
Art critic Larisa Lysenko has a deep understanding of the subject, a delicate art history taste. During her work the expositions of iconography and of contemporary Belarusian art from the 30th to the present were created. Besides regular exhibitions in the halls of the gallery many exhibitions of contemporary Belarusian art, foreign and international projects, which are supervised by Larisa Mikhailovna, are annually held.
Larisa Lysenko has written many articles in «Polotskty Vestnik», in the magazine «Mastatstva», in the newspaper «Culture». She is the author and the compiler of the catalog «Painting on Paper», the anthology «Art Gallery in Polotsk», as well as many scientific papers.
