Biography

Kazak Ivan (6.07.1959, Beshankovichy Vitebsk region), Belarussian sculptor. He graduated from Belarussian Theatre and Art Institute (1983). Since 1984 he takes part in art exhibitions. Since 1988 he is a member of Union of Artists. He lives in Vitebsk.

He works in monumental and easel sculpture. The materials used are bronze, alpax.

His main works are: the compositions «Artist Victor Popkov», «In Memory of the Fallen» (1990), «Princess Olga», «Artist Ya. Drozdovich», «Guerrilla Vitebsk Region», «Napoleon and Josephine» (all were created in 1989), the commemorative to A. Pushkin, the monument to V. Korotkevich, the memorial to soldiers-internationalists «Pain» (1997), the memorial plaques to historian V. Krasyansky, to the Hero of the Soviet Union T. Lyadsky (1998), the ornamental sculpture «Kiss», «Chernobyl Madonna» (Nienburg, Germany), the monument «Seraphim of Sarov» (Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia).

His works are kept in Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local History, in galleries and private collections.
