Biography

Tarabuko Leonid (20.07.1955, Vitebsk), Belarussian sculptor. He graduated from Belarussian Theatre and Art Institute (1983). Today he works at Design Department of Vitebsk State Technological University (since 1997). He works in the sphere of monumental and easel sculpture, decorative sculpture. The material used is stone. Since 1983 he takes part in art exhibitions. Since 1999 he is a member of Union of Artists. Since 1999 he is a member of Union of Designers. He lives in Vitebsk.

Among his works are: «Raisa» (1979), «Dream» (1979), «Fadeich» (1980), «Artist Shura Frolenkov» (1980), «Maksim Bogdanovich» (1981), «The Hero of the Soviet Union M. Silnitsky» (1982), «The First Commissar of Health N. Semashko» (1984), «Thinker» (1984), «Seasons» (1986), «The Hero of the Soviet Union Kornachenok» (1987), «The Portrait of Artist L. Mirzoyan» (1989), «Afghan Wind» (1989), «Moon» (1998), «The Mirror of the Soul» (2000), «The Third Millennium» (2000), «Waiting» (2001), «Retrieval Routes» (2001), «Phase of Moon» (2001), «Composition» (2003), «Halley's Comet» (2004), «Great Talker» (2005), «Sacred Fish» (2005), etc.

His works are kept in Vitebsk regional museum of local history, in galleries and private collections.
