Biography

Kirilin Petr (12.07.1954, Vitebsk –..08.2018, Vitebsk), Belarusian artist. He graduated from Art and Graphic Faculty of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Kirov. (1981). He was taught by M. Romanovskaja, E. Vazhinskij, V.Androsov, V. Shatalov, V. Vinogradov, I.Stoljarov. The participant of artist exhibitions since 1980, of the first open air «Malevich. UNOVIS. Modernity» (1994). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1996). Lived in Vitebsk.

The artist worked in easel painting and graphics. The works are characterized by the use of metaphysical shaped design, symbols, abstract forms, which are carefully worked out, figurative view of the real world, complex rhythmic organization of compositions, decorativeness of coloristic solution. The artist is engaged in psychological configurativism, it is the art of visual perception of dissipative structures of self-organizing matter, existing independently of human consciousness, based on the intensity of sensory perception and the depth of penetration into the images of the rich diversity of the metaphysical world, which allows the author, creating unique and deeply individual works, to enrich this world with new transcommunicative connections.

His works are kept in Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local History, Art Center named after Mark Shagal in Vitebsk, in the Cultural Institution «Museum "Vitebsk Center of Modern Art"» and many private collections in the near and far abroad.
