Biography

Chernyak Yuri (30.03.1946, Orenburg, Russia), Belarusian artist, designer. He graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1970). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1985). He lives in Vitebsk since 1965.

The artist works in the field of art design of museum and exhibition complexes, interiors, creation of expositions, design of town festivals and holidays.

He designed the exhibition of the following museums: the museums of local history in Rossony (1976-77), Beshenkovichi (1985-87), in Vitebsk – Vitebsk Police History Museum (1983-84), National Museum of the 43rd Army (1983- 84), National Museum of the 39th Army (1988), the Museum of the History of the factory «KIM» (1990-92), the Museum of Soldiers-Internationalists (1990-96), the House-museum of Marc Chagall (1996-97), the Museum of Energy History of Vitebsk region (2002-03), the Museum of the Main Department of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Vitebsk region (2007).

He took part in the design of the exhibitions of Bulgarian-Soviet friendship (1976), regional industrial exhibition (1979), regional exhibition of design (1986), mobile exhibition of technical creativity of TV-19 (1975-76) (Moscow, Leningrad, Finland, Canada, Mongolia, Japan); complex art decoration of the villages Zolotinka and Kichera (1976, 1979), the World Cup Helicopter Sport (1978) and others.
