Biography

 

Durov Valery (27.03.1942, Dzerzhinsk, Gorky Region, Russia – 20.06.2003, Vitebsk), a Belarusian graphic artist. He graduated from the Pavlov Art and Industrial College in 1962. Durov Valery has been a participant of art exhibitions since 1974. The artist is a member of Belarusian Union of Artists since 1991. Lived in Vitebsk.

The artist worked in various techniques of easel graphic works.

Among his major works are: «Lunch Break» (1976), «First Snow» (1980), «Winter Garden» (1980), «Flowers of Memory» (1985), «The Flowers of War» (1985), «Awakening» (1989), «The Village is leaving» (1989), «Spring is Coming» (1989), «Open Window» (1989), «Old Smithy» (1990), «Frosty Morning» (1990), «Braslav Land» (1990), «Słabodka» (1990), «Floating Islands» (1990), «Requiem» (1990), «Mood» (1990), «Heritage» (1991), «The Church of the Intercession» (1991), triptychs «Echo» (1989), «Millennium Bridge» (1991) and others.
