Biography
Osipov Vadim (07.11.1956, Gorodok, Vitebsk region), Belarussian artist. He graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1979), Department of Art Theory and History of St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1993). Since 2001 he has been teaching at Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov at the Department of Fine Arts. Vadim Ivanovich is a member of the Association of Free Artists, St. Petersburg (1988), a member of Belarussion Union of Artists (2007). Lives in Vitebsk.
Since 1981 Vadim Osipov participates in art exhibitions in Belarus, Russia, Sweden, Germany, Japan, France.
The artist works primarily in oil painting, the genre of still life and thematic composition. In his work the artist refers to the symbolism, mythology and religious subject. He gives preference for still life and thematic composition.
Among his works are: «Piece for Saxophone» (1989), «In the Maze» (1990), «The Line on Your Palm» (1990), «Rift» (1996), «Wall» (1996), «The Emanation of Numbers» (1996) , «The Birth of Amber» (1996), «Ritual» (1997), «Three Fish» (1997), «Golden River» (1999), «Before the Cup» (1999), «Chalice» (2000), «To Faith» (2001), «Golden Fleece» (2001), «Bratina» 2002), «Winter» (2003), «Corner» (2005), «The Well of Happiness» (2006), «Town» (2006), «Autumn Sacrifice» (2006), «The Magician» (2009), «Old House» (2010), etc.
