Biography

Voronova Lyudmila (29.07.1944, Rubtsovsk, Russia – 08.04.1997, Vitebsk), Belarusian graphic artist. Lyudmila graduated from Art and Graphic Department of Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (1967). She was a member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1975). Lived in Vitebsk.

Worked in watercolors and pastels.

Lyudmila Voronova created fantastically fabulous world of images, inspired by the literary works or her own ideas. Its multidimensionality and figurativeness are similar to the traditions of symbolism.

Among the works are: «Mars. Earthlings» (1969), «Blue Flowers» (1990), «Still Life with Melon» (1992), «Dead Bird» (1993), «Man and Bird» (1993), «Strange World» (1993), «Centaur» (1994), «The Mask» (1994), «Solitude in the Sky» (1994), «Other Worlds» (1995); a series «Autumn» (1975), «La Gioconda» (1977), «Science Fiction» (1977), «Old Vitebsk» (1981), «Gods-ghosts» (1992), «Wings» (1993), etc.

His works are in the National Art Museum of Belarus, Belarusian Union of Artists funds, Museum of Modern Art in Minsk, Vitebsk regional museum.
