Біяграфія

Kiselev Georgij (15.11.1935, Antratsyt, Luhansk region, Ukraine), Belarusian artist. He graduated from the Department of Applied Graphics of Kharkov Art College (1959), Lvov Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1966). The main artist of Vitebsk (1967-73), the main artist of Vitebsk art workshops (1973-92). A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1975). Lives in Vitebsk.

He works in various forms and techniques of easel and applied graphics, in the field of typefaces, painting, medal art. The central place belongs autolithography, linocuts, etchings, engraving on cardboard with monotype.

Among the works are: engravings and drawings «The First Patriotic War» (1987), triptychs «Invisible World» (1954-2005), «Vitebsk and Vitebsk Region» (1967-1995), «Back. Children of War» (1987-84), «Oh, early on Ivan Kupala Day» (1980-81), «Baptism» (1988), «Chunking» (1995-98), polyptychs «Alarm» (1981), «Aspiration» (1981), series «In the land of blue lakes» (1954-2005), «My Field» (1970-80), dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union, who defended Vitebsk region (1985), history of Beshenkovichy district (1986), «Souvenirs - Zodiac Signs» (1994 -95); watercolors «Winter» (1974), «Luchesa» (1974), «Tulovo» (1974), «Poppies» (1975), «Flax» (1975), «Old Town» (1988); medals, badges (on the history of Vitebsk (1978-2002), bookplates (more than 500; 1951-2006) and others. The author of oil paintings «Vitebsk. Urban Landscape» (1967), «Bread and Salt» (1971), «The First Tram» (1998).
