Biography
Kuharev Vladimir (18.11.1916, village Zadetuni, Vitebsk district, Vitebsk region - 11.07.2000, Vitebsk), Belarusian painter. He graduated from Vitebsk Art College in 1938. A member of Belarusian Union of Artists (1953). He lived in Vitebsk.
The artist worked in various genres of easel painting, more often in portrait and thematic picture. The works are characterized by symbolic significance of images, ornamentality of pictorial language.
Among the works are: «In Gestapo Dungeons» (1945), «K. Zaslonov» (1946), «Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya» (1952), «Farewell of Slavianka» (1955), «Bat'ka Minaj» (1957), «Heroes of the First Belarusian» (1958), «Actress G. Markina» (1965) «Vera Khoruzhaya» (1974), «Khatyn. Mother» (1978), «Veteran» (1979), «People's Artist F.
